Mlotek’s writing has been published in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Daily News, JTA, The Forward, Haaretz, The Jerusalem Post, Alma, Kveller and The New York Jewish Week among other blogs.

He is the librettist of Amid Falling Walls, a new musical which features Yiddish song written and performed during the Holocaust, and which premiered at the National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Fall 2023.
